Re Pleae Help!!!

ok, here is the situation...

Ordered a set or RE RE's through the group sale. Everything was fine and good, until I received the product and the coil was out of alignment and rubbing extremely badly. So, I contacted RE and they agreed to send me out a replacement set if I paid the shipping. So I did...The fedex guy just dropped off the new set. To my suprise and delight, the new set was a set of XXX mids !!! Let me just say holy SH!T //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Happy as a pig in sh!t. Anyways, so I inspect them and one of the baskets is completely broken. From one screw hole to the other it is broken right off!

Can it be welded? Should RE have to replace it? WHAT DO I DO??? I just want my stereo back together. Please help, I love RE, but this experience isn't the best I have ever had. Makes Shawn kinda sad actually //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

LOL...just read what I wrote and it didn't make much sense. I will talk to RE first and let you guys find out what they have to say. Probably just a claim through fedex. Ahhhh...the hassles of shipping companies. Anyways, tell me what you guys think anyways. I will try to post pics of both the XXX's and the RE's.

LOL...a broken set?!?! They let me keep the first set, so I wouldn't be too suprised, they are giving like that.

I expect a fedex claim that will take way too long and be way too much of a pain in the ***!

Yeah, Mark is the one that I have been dealing with. He is good shit! Been helping me a lot with the first problem, and hope he will help me with this one too.

Haven't gotten ahold of him yet...I have to leave for work now, and have written him an e-mail already, so we will just wait and see. I won't be able to speak with him personally until Friday, due to my messed up work schedule. I hope to get an e-mail from him today, and then I will keep you guys updated as soon as possible.

TRIG...what kind of crossovers are you using with your XXX's? I may be looking into an active with a seperate amp, just for the drivers, that is if they don't want them back, which I assume they will.

Just using my amps onboard crossover and my HU's also.

Who knows if they are damaged also, you may just get to keep them too.

So Mark wants me to do a fedex claim. I don't know what to do?? I posted a similar topic under the speaker section. Go check it out!!! It's good stuff.

I just don't know what to do. Try to make the XXX's work, or just send them back, wait longer, and get another set of RE RE's. Trigger, what do you think? If I was to keep the XXX's I wold need to get an active crossover and possibly another amp to power them. Pain in the butt I know, but if I got them working it would all be worth it!
