this has been discussed. it works very well. there are people that will even do it for you on this board if you can find them.

IMHO, powdercoating is the better option. Won't chip or get damaged over time like paint will, it's much more durable.

i always heard if you paint your amps with other than the paint that came on it orginally it retains heat and can short the life of the amp is this true

Yes, he is.

No, I don't.

He works at some place that does powder coating and did some orion amps if I recall. Search for Blazin_Jason and/or find that thread.

You can use regular car paint, I have used cheap spray paint before.
