what kind of van do your friend have and is he going sealed or ported?

He got a mid-90's dodge caravan. I think he going to remove the rear seat and build a big enclosure (or a wall) and I believe he was going ported.

Now i fell bad for recomending my friend to get a 10Kv2 for his truck, and he got on the pre order list for it with his CC...****it ****it ****it ****it....**** you ben....**** you to hell....thanks josh, dustin, and loyd for explaining what was going on behind the 'scenes'.

I didnt know about the shady buisness, but ive heard from a few people that eD was a tad shady. When i was viewing CaF and all the business went down with Re and eD not wanting to get the cones David had, i was sure that eD didnt give a crap about its customers. Ive never been a fan of eD never will be. Maybe its because they cant build a woofer that can handle 3kw, or maybe its because they are probably the shadest company ever, but u wont ever see me buy a eD product. Ive bought a Tsunami DB 1100 from them.... last time i buy anything associated with them. The Amp blew within 3weeks, so i sent it in, got a free repair, and sold it. Never looked back, plus it was underpowering my XXX anyways. Sure some may say im a RE lover, and thats all ive been customed too, wrong, in fact i have some ATomic Loudspeakers coming to me very soon, ive messed around with RF, been able to play with some Treo subs, and hoping to get my hands on some DD 9910s soon, if money permits.

For a company that seems to have wanted to be a underground company, they sure have expanded there goals and started becoming mainstream which in my eyes is pretty weak, seeing as there type of business is nothing more than lies.

A friend of mine bought 8 db1100's from Ben, 6 arrived at his door DOA, 2 worked. Granted, this is not his product, but I personally wouldn't ship anybody anything that may be dead without them knowing.

The build houses that have built them, for the most part, are reputible and build for other major and minor successful companies. The current build house I have heard nothing but bad things about for the last year. Apparently their biggest customer has them built at a difference facility overseas as upposed to here. Any issues I would not blame on build houses. Even if there was a problem with something at the build house, it should be addressed and take responsibility for it when it has their name on it.

Ben doesn't know enough to have a design by himself, that's why others have stepped in. However, he makes the final decisions on how it turns out so a crap design can be credited to him anyway.

That wouldnt be me by any chance would it?? If so, then the story is a little confused... I have killed 8 tsunami amps purchased from ED, however they arrived mint and died only when i fed them 17+volts, at which point replacements were airmailed to me overnight saturday to replace them. I had thought only 3 amps were bad, when in reality they were all fried, so the 4 amps they shipped me didnt do much for me at finals (that and the horrible box i was using). I finally shipped them back for repair about a month ago and had them back and in mint shape (tested myself) 2 weeks later. I am selling them now only to pay bills and to hopefully buy some larger amps so i can compete streetmax in dbdrag.
And Sean... you know i love you man, but can you really knock on Ben for not being the sole designer of all of his drivers?? remind you of any other small internet based subwoofer companies that perhaps dont completely handle all of their own driver engineering

I dont want to get drug into this discussion because at this point anything that isnt anti-ED will immediately be labelled as BS and written off, so it would be pointless for me to say much. I must say however, that i can personally attest to the fact that the buildhouse was wholly at fault in many cases. I cant personally say i know for a fact on every case, but many were. Ben would not specify that a driver be offset 10mm forward from center and then the next one 10mm back for example. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, that is what makes this a free society and such a great place to be. i guess that kinda makes sence cuz if the build house does what you ask then they may do the hard part of disign but its still up to you to do the actual final ok of the drive. didnt now ben cant design cuz he always talks about how he can design and come up with new stuf but i guess its not true.

saw this at icix http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1286 and it seams they dont do the checks of the drive that they used to cuz i rember ben talkin abot always checkin every drive that left ed and i think it would show up if the drive wasnt magnatized so they dont really do the checks and nither does thier build house.

What I'm gathering from his posts, is that he isn't sorry one bit about any of what he did, whether it be on decisions of what to sell or decisions made between him and his "friends."

Pissing someone off and bending someone over and taking their money and/or betraying their friendship are two different in my book. I guess all his responses have shown me are his lack of remorse for any of the things he's done to backstab people who he called "friends" at one point or another. Ah well, I guess I'm just on the anti-eD bandwagon though, right? I'm done with all of this. The info is out there and people can make their own decisions about how they feel. Just think of one thing before you pass off some of our comments as anti-eD. Who actually stands to gain from all of this? I dont think any of us who have had personal problems stand to gain anything, but what does Ben stand to gain, money. Just think about it.
