RE or alpine

id personally go with the RE, 600w RMS, vs type R 300w RMS for SPL, i would feel more secure with a 600w RMS sub rather than knowing i have a 300w RMS sub, even tho those type R's can take a bit more than 300w

All box dependant... the 600W that RE states is thermal I believe. I am putting around 750W to my single Type R ATM, and have been since the beginning of August.

DEFINATELY THE SE...

the SE has great sound quality and can get plenty loud...

i believe whoever is running a type R at 750 watts has

no SQ and just a lot of loud farting...

It's been almost 5 months since I have been running it like that. Remember that its in a tiny sealed box.

i noticed that in your sig once i posted... my bad...

does it get really loud at 750watts? or is there a point

where it just WONT get any louder to the ear?

It is pretty loud, louder than alot of 2 12" setups I have heard. It probably could take a bit more power, but I am not gonna do that. And even giving it around 600W is noticeable to the ear. May be a result of the small box size.
