re mt12 dead on 2200rms and under?

itll work with less power for sure, but they come alive when you give them 2k+.

2200w should be plenty though for daily...why, is it not loud? what are the box specs/how is it wired (what ohm load) etc

i was using an mt 12 " for 3 months

i used a rf t40001 bd at 1 ohm 1st , then a hifonics maxximus

i would say that 2000 rms to 2500 rms would be the least i would run

You are not being clear at all. Your title indicates your sub died, but the post is asking what the minimum power you can run on an MT is.
sry, my question was what the minimum power the mt should have to work fine

it will not hurt the sub to run a smaller amp unless you clip the hell out of the amp. i have run 8k on my mt15" for spl burps & also played music with 8k. playing music have to be careful with that much power but she will take alot of power.
