RE MT daily?

Prob the closest thing I can compare the MT daily I heard to was my 9515. The MT was a little less musical imo and is very power hungry. But in the right enclosure should be perfectly acceptable daily. I keep the 9515 in 8 cubes with hotswap ports (27, 54 [half octave and car RF]) and it just kicks ***. If you keep the air space big and keep it tuned low for daily you'll be happy. Back in the day there was controversy that the MT was a one note monster...that's been disproven by anyone who's owned one.

On that note I've decided to just buy another DD since I have the other 8 cubes of that box doing nothing....other than a fun place for people to sit on short rides.

yea if i do end up running a pair they will be powered by 4 planet audio tt2250d's.

so i will have power no doubt.

yea as for tuning daily would be around 28hz and comp @ my cars res freq as soon as i get on a meter and find that out.

yea it is a comp sub but i ahve heard it performs alright daily and i started this thread to find info of jus how alright it performs daily.

I would recommend an 18" XXX over the MT. The XXX gets super loud and sounds good at lower wattage. You would be a ****ed fool if you got the MT.

Yes, it CAN be used daily. It has a very tight gap tho, so as long as you know what ur doing (which you do) and you're not a complete dumb fukk you should be fine. Also, david told me that it might also get a little warm daily b/c of the lack of a pole vent. He told me if i want it so loud i'll puke...go with 8 cubes @30hz w/ 3000rms!! Good luck finding two 18 MT's tho, b/c in case you don't know... RE is not making 18's for an undetermined amount of time. Something the the effect of, their supplier moved to russia...tripled prices...and made each order a 1500 piece minimum. So, they will have to come up with custom tooling for the 18" spoked baskets...which will take a while. peace

I was only speaking on the fact that hte XXX is a much more versatile sub. I had a friend who owen and MT and XXX at the same time. The MT was nothing compared to the XXX as a daily setup. The XXX is a great daily sub. The MT just didnt cut it. For comps, the MT was awesome, but as soon as that comp ended, he put the XXX right back in.

The MT just lacks the the sound quality that the XXX has. The MT is super loud, but so is the XXX. A single 18" XXX will get loud enough that you would be uncomfortable in you car.
