well since i have my box pulled from the car ive decided on re-carpetting it.. only cuz the carpet on it that i got now is beat up from when i first tried getting it in.. box was originally built by mike465.. the carpet is held on with spray glue, seems easy to just pull it off.. think its possible to just pull the current carpet off and just re-carpet it?

if so..

where could i get carpet from? box is 4.0 cubes after displacment and dimensions are 36"x16"x20.5" about how much carpet you think i would need? its also got the double baffle.. how would i go about getting the carpet to follow this shape? and what would be a good kind of adhesive to stick it on with?

Yes you can recarpet it. I would try to sand off the glue with an orbital sander once you got it off.

yourautotrim.com sells carpet along with partsexpress.com and Walmart sells fleece.

Make sure to use a quality adhesive, it makes a huge difference. As more making it stay to a shape, good adhesive and pressure.

Walmart carries black and charcoal carpet. It's not top of the line, but it'll get the job done. If you don't have an air compressor & spray gun, you can get by with 3M Super 77 spray adhesive.

The process is nowhere near as difficult as many people think. Just watch one of the many online tutorials and you should have a pretty good idea how to do the job.

Elemental Designs has a tutorial video online. You should be able to find it on youtube...

yeah i would sand off the glue thats left on it.. and whats on there now is more of a fleece material and not a fan of it.. ripped in a spot and is impossible to get it back to normal.. and as for adhesive whatever thats on there now doesnt seem too great thats what i wanna know what would be good.

think i may go with this color:

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=261-740

or this color:

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=261-750

seems closest to my interior, may get the first one.. seems closer in color

not sure how many yards to purchase though, its 40" wide, which is fine for me cuz my box is 36" wide.. may also get more to cover an amp rack if i feel like ever getting around to one.. lol

my box also has the inlets on the sides so to edges stick out about 1/2" off each side.. what would i have to do for that?

A yard is 3ft if thats where your having issues.

The space is a place to tuck carpet. Its a style used in carpeting a box.
i know a yard is 3ft //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

but each is for 1 yard.. not sure how many to order.. 2 yards?

Do not use Wal-Mart carpet if you value good results. You're supposed to be getting a tight wrap job so that no corners pose a problem, but with wal-mart carpet, they do. The carpet is backed, meaning that it has a hard surface on the uncarpeted side. This is useless for speaker enclosures. Get the partsexpress carpet that is unbacked. It's the type you want.
