re audio xxx = love at first sight

wow, im happy I got the older one. 375 bucks ftw. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Lets just say this sub is fcukin awesome. Just leave it at that. Not only does it look amazing, it sounds great, gets loud as hell for a 12, and the only downside is weight.

You should be able to find them easy for $600 or a little less in the classifieds and on Ebay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just dont run 3kw to it and keep a fire extingsher close by.

What about 2800w:naughty:
now...still noone knows what happened to your woofer :-\
you want to recheck that? there's been numerous cases of this happening, just not burning there whole vehicle down because they were lucky enough to get it out. And I know someone who mounted it sideways and the basket collapsed on itself...basket construction couldnt support its own weight.

I dont see how thats possible with the frame being that thick...mines sideways and I'm running a lot of power so I hope neither of the 2 occur:dont:

Lol the basket is not thick at all. On the thinnest part of the spoke its like barely 1/8" thick cast alum.

Playing the sub freeair with about 1800 watts the thing got hot enough to cook an egg. And the funny part was that it was only hot in one "section" of the spokes. I cant image this inside an enclosure made of very flammable mdf.

You guys pump kilowatts thru your subs daily then complain about them getting hot.

Large subs breaking baskets when mounted horizontal is not that uncommon. Even the original XXX and Brahma should have their magnet supported in the back when mounted this way. When you talk about a sub that's what, like a foot longer, and heavier, common sense should start kicking in and telling you to support that thing.

i think these are rumors cause people are jelious and what them so bad
ummm rumors? yes its all a lie..I made up my truck burning down...im just **** good at photoshop...the fire...its filters...yes...my mistake....and secondly i've never said they weren't good woofers, look at the suspension...how can you not expect performance...it was one of the loudest setups around here.....im just giving a word of advice....fire extingisher should be had for any system I think now regardless the wattage.
