This company is local to me...........are these subs worth 180 a piece? How much power would you throw their way - 2 of them, ported? Was considering these and a pair of RF T1's to go with either a sundown 1500, JL 1000 or some Hifonics 1200 watt amp, not sure

I had four of the older SE 12"s at one point, man. They sound good, handle a decent amount of power and are somewhat loud. I wouldn't call them weak. A pair on 1,200 - 1,500 watts will do you right...

They're 175W each, but I throw about 250 at mine daily and just check the temps on them after beating hard.

dealercostcaraudio has them (the SE not the ***) for $150 new. I know this because i was choosing between that, an RSDC, and a Polk SR, which i eventually went with because i found it on sale.

WinISD has it liking a box just over 3 cubes, so it would do good in that box i'm guessing. Has a relatively low resonant frequency for a 12 so i'd want to tune it low... but i've never built a box before, and 33Hz seems to be a consensus middle ground Fb
