Re Audio SE12

I've been doing a bit of searching around here and I've seen numerous people highly recommend the SE12. I'm looking for a new sub to match up to my ESX Q1752 and it seems like it'd be a good choice.

I'd be running the amp at 500x1 at 4ohms. That would mean I need the 2ohm model, right? I've always used sealed boxes in the past but everything I've read says the SE shines in a ported box. Can you guys recommend and premade ported boxes that'd be good for this sub?

I'm also not dead set on this sub yet, so if you have any other suggestions I'm open to them as well.

Theres also a dual 2 model (according to the website at least), but I wasn't 100% sure which would be the proper one for my amp.

I've only seen D4s but that was before US Amps took over. I guess you could special order anything. look at that, they've added D2 coils.

I just found a store that has the D2's in stock. So back to my original question. .. The D2 would be the proper match for my amp? And also I need to find a good ported box for this thing.

they'll take more than 600w, but yes, it's a good match. I did 1.8 @32 and liked it.

I got two RE SE12's in a ported box running off a Rockford T10001bd and it sounds incredible.

ive tested the se's in both sealed and ported with ~500watts. sound great in both, smooth and clean. of course the ported was louder. sealed box was 1.5 before displacement and ported box is somethin a lil over 2.0cubes tuned upper 30s i believe.

Idk what you plan on getting but i would get one made or make one for yourself. It is not hard with the proper tools.( table saw, or circular saw, jigsaw, and a few other small things) Good luck.

Is everyone thats running these ported running in a 2cu ft box?

I'm going to be getting an SE once I get some cash. I had a box plan made for me. Aim around for 2.0-2.5 cubes. My box plan was 2.5^3 with a tuning of 34hz or so.
