coming real close to buying new subs. I current run a w6. Looking at either the SE or G5.

will the SE sound good off of 500 rms each?

and would you say the SE are a SQL?

The SE's are sq subs. They rival the few w7's I heard. They just happen to get low and loud too lol.

They'll sound fine off of 500w, will get even louder once broken in. If you don't have an amp though, I'd suggest at least 650-700w each if you can afford it though.

I already Have a Rockford Fosgate Bd 1000.. Thats why i asked how they would do at 500 rms each..

My brother runs a SE12 ported + tuned low and with only an Alpine 350w mono amp on it, it is WAY more bass than anything I would ever want. Hell I can hear him coming from a LONG ways away. I am purely an SQ guy by nature though....Amp may be slightly underrated but still...

2 of these with 500 wrms each on them would have to be pretty **** loud IMO...if you need more than that you either have major hearing loss, or just want to be the loudest person around....But then again a single 12" sealed on 600wrms is overkill for me, to each his own //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I sell both the RE's and the G5's. I like G5's. RE SE> output, though. But not in a sealed box.

I ran a RE SR a few months back, and it was a great sub, Put nearly 800WRMS and it still sounded great. Heard the W6 before, but wasn't the best install ever so the output and sound was terrible. Never heard the G5 in person, but have seen good reviews, and heard a lot of good things about it from acquaintances. I liked my RE, but not really going on a great comparison due to the quality of the install on the W6.
