I was looking around for a sub that can load at 2ohms total and handle about 2000rms.

What do you think about this sub? what else is comparable or better than this?

I am thinking about a single sub setup. best options?

i didnt like mine... i had four re mx 12 d2's... i just couldnt figure out a good box setup, though.

idk maybe a 3 cube box with 1500w and low tuning? or sealed box...

they did great on the lows, but i just wasnt overall happy. you are a SS guy, I bet you could get an SPLX-HX 12 for less...

its a neo magnet, big deep basket and motor structure, and the mechanical noise when I inverted two of the four was pretty noticable (I'm not the only one who has reported that)... but you can give it a try. I traded two Orion 2500d's for the four, so that puts them at around 225ea value-wise...

Coil options on the SPLX? I have only seen the D2 subs, remember i am looking a total load of 2 ohms @ 2000rms

ballsack lol they are dual 2's themselves... i had four T5 10's in my RSX and two SS XXX4000d's strapped @ 1 total, mmmm :-D doing a 150 at the dash with them was cool too

yeah, I have my t5's wired up at 2ohms. I could have ran one amp per sub at 1 ohm but then I have to worry about matching gains.. so I decided to strap the amps and drop the load on each sub to 1 ohm and series them at 2 ohms.

Well, I am still keep options open... Hell, if I could I woulda put a xxx15 in there but I dont have enough powa for that nor the cash...

i sent you a PM. the MX has LOTS of motor noise. i did not like it that much when i had it.
