Re audio MX any good?

Considering a Re audio MX giving it around 1700-2000rms.

its a 15 inch sub

How are these subs. Loud ? do they sound good?

Please dont comment on the price I am looking at it and not taking price into consideration.

If you can compare it to other subs thats fine.

Never heard them but I believe they're more of a sq sub, and have heard they do not get very loud. Not from experience though.

i haven't heard much good about them. tbh if you want to go with more of an SQ 15" go with something like an icon or a Fi Q

you do realize that both the MX and the Q are designed by the same guy right? That being said, the MX is rather power hungry. The thing about the MX and the XXX is that they were trying to satisfy dealer's request for bigger subs that can handle lots of power (basic gimmick). What they ended up was some very inefficient subs that have great excursion with loads of power.

Just what I've heard from one of the guy that used to work at RE

Well me and my friend were each gonna order one for our cars. We decided to just order one to test first. Putting it in a camaro. Will let you guys know how it works out. I saw this video of one

I thought the mx was designed after scott left? and the xmax on the mx is only 22mm one way. not a ton of excursion

It doesn't matter how power hungry or inefficient they are. They will be monsters on 2k and they move a LOT. Like the guy above said they are power hungry inefficient beasts and when your dealing with 1500+ nobody cares about efficiency unless you have some noob with a 600$ sub and a 100$ 800 watt amp Trying to get loud.
