RE Audio dilema

i have a se10 that needs a re-cone and i was going to make it an sexxx d2 so it would be wired down to 1ohm instead of the stock d4 and 2ohms and power it with the hifonics brutus bx1000d i had pushing it before... which was in a 1.0 cu ported box tuned to 35 inside of a regular cab dodge dakota

the sexxx was going to get put in a 1.25 ported box in my new truck which is an 06 ford f350 crew cab (4 door) but by the time i get the woofer shipped, fixed, and shipped back it'll be about $150

i'm thinking i would get better performance all around for the bigger cab space from the 2 stock se10 d4's wired to 1ohm instead of the 1 sexxx d2 wired at 1 ohm from the same hifonics amp and sell the se that needs a recone

the 2 stock se10's would each have about 1.1 to 1.2cu of space... and the boxes would be located behind the seat or would it be better to put them in a single ported box at 2.4 cu?

so out of the 2 possibly ways to go, which would be better? and what could i sell the se10 for in it's current condition?

I dont think there will be difference between two ported box and a common chamber for 2 10's.

buy a recone from teampsi and recone it urself. the 2 stock se's would be louder because of cone area...

i might recone it and sell it eventually... just dont feel like tinkering with it now...

well 2 se's it is... just wasnt sure if there was a downside to running the same amp for either set-up... or i just needed a little more persuasion to go ahead and do 2 10's

also, has anyone had much bad luck with buying subs from e-bay... found a few people on there selling them and seems like they have a good reputation... but just wanting to check because forums usually have seen who to go with and who to warn everyone about

if i used a single box for the 2 10's ported, what would i need to build to as far as space and hz? i'd imagine having 1 big box and the same size port for 1 sub would affect it somehow... or having 1 big box and 2 ports using the single port measurements wouldnt come out right?... i've built just one box so far and that was the specs RE had for the se on their old site... and i've been using their calculator on the site now for the new box
