hello i i got me a pair of re audio 10 destroyers i emailed re audio my pictures of my subwoofers and greg carolus emailed me back and this is what he said...

Those are destroyer 10's they may be some of the only 10's ever made because the destroyers were made only in 15's and not to many were produced.Im guessing there 1000 watt rms and I do not have a diagram I would suggest our VLX2DE 1 per woofer.

so im on hear looking for a wiring diagram on these bad boys cause i have no idea how to wire them up and i asked re audio and they don't have 1 no more what could i do to find out how to wire them up??? hear is a link to see some pics of them 1 link is of the 2 subwoofers next to each other and another link is to 1 re audio 10 sitting next to a jl audio w7 10.

lol at anyone from RE knowing what half their **** is/was since scott done Fi.

Still looking like hc motors, fuck destroyers I thought they had 4" coils.

WELL I GOT A HOLD OF SCOTT AND THIS IS WHAT HE HAD TO SAY ABOUT THEM.

Hmmm.... the only ones I can think of like that where from and old friend, Jon, back in California. Rare to see an HC 10". They are definitely not Destroyers as those are 4" coils and I had nothing to do with those terrible things outside of sat on the overstock motors for several years before they got clearanced.

Not sure why there is such a following for the Destroyers, as they do what the name implies... destroy themselves. One of the only subs I didn't design when I owned RE and it shows. They simply do not work with the 4" coil and 8" spider. Needed totally different parts.

Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

Thanks,

Scott

All you need is a wiring diagram? Just put a dmm to the terminals to determine the coils, then go to jl or rockfords site to fInd a diagram. Or go read a little about wiring circuits in parallel and series so u wnt need a diagram next time

wire them up just like any other sub. i think i read on your other post that it's a quad 1ohm coil....you have several configurations....you can wire them at .5, 2, or 8ohm....i'm guessing you're going for 2 ohm...a wiring mess...lol but if you want i can draw up a diagram for you

basically you're going to wire each woofer in series to 4ohm...then parallel together to get 2ohm

let's call them terminals 1-4

1. connect terminal 1 positive to terminal 2 negative

2. connect terminal 2 positive to terminal 3 negative

3. connect terminal 3 positive to terminal 4 negative

4. connect terminal 1 negative to amp and terminal 4 positive to amp

then do the same on the other sub and connect terminal 1 neg and terminal 4 pos to the other terminals on the amp

or you can take terminal 1 negative from each sub and splice together to have one wire to the amp and the same for the positive on terminal 4. Make sense? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

and most importantly have a DMM on hand to make sure it's wired right. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
