2 5" foot long 8 inch pvc pipes with a RE8 glued to the one end of each one then I stuff each one with equal amounts of stuffing, I'm still working on how much stuffing I actually need but I'm trying a lil more tomorrow which would be about 2 lbs per tube now. thats it.... well at least that is what i'm using. I've noticed that I lose alot of power under 26 HZ I don't know if this is due to box design, box placement in the room, or because my crappy awia thingie has a HPF set at 25ish but I don't notice it unless i'm playing someting EXTREMELY low or test tonesmyvanpounds...can you design a tl for me by chance...so i know how long to make shit..and box dimensions seems like you know ur **** stuff...if not cool too just appreciate the help...i want to use 2 re 8's
I used 2 8's only cause I had 4 laying around, I would use 4 but they woun't all fit under my bed and 2 ended up in my car again anyway. polyfill, acoustafill. its all the same really. but unstuffed they are going to be peaky. A plate amp would work fine. I'm using a crappy awai mini system thing that I abuse. I'm only using one of the two channels and the subs are wired as a 1 ohm load, the origonal speakers were 6ohm, lol. the inverted thing is cause he's using two drivers in the same line. the box probably wasn't deep enuff for both motors to fit, honestly I'd just stick to one a tube. another word of note, these things are top heavy when stood up so the box is a good idea with the vertical standing setup, maybe some feet on the botom that stick out another 3 inches for stabilityalright....jeez...now im all excited ..should i do like 2 re 8's or like one re se 10? when you sayin stuffing..like polyfil? if i did an enclosure like hte one with the box and pipe out top...could i just add a plate amp so i can connect it to my home theater receiver..also? you think i should do that inverted sub trick too? thanks much for your input bro ..appreciate it
either or, depends more on what you can find as far as the pvc or sonotube goes and how much you want to spendawesome...so you think 2 8's each in their own box..or one big 10?
you just need to build a square box big enuff for the driver to fit in and then stick a 5 foot long 10 inch sonotube on one end stuff and enjoy remember that its not a ported box so the box/port stuff doesn't apply here. the tube IS the box and the stuffing is how you tune it... on another note I got to test out my stuffed TL's today and I like the way they sound stuffed as opposed to untuffed, unstuffed the bass was out of control and not accurate around 50 hz now everythings tighter and sounds more musicali think i might go with a se10 in a sonotube...now i just need to figure how long and all that shit...box dimension...do i biuld a box like its sealed or ported?

I couldn't take the port noise. and the 2 8's in TL's are just as loud as the 4 8's were ported.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
the sonotube is a TL!! the key with the push pull design is having the right diameter tube, I thing he is using a 12 inch tube with 2 10's with one 10 I'd use a 10" tube. I havn't tried the push pull thing so I dunno if thats the way to go. If I were you I'd start with only one 10 in a single TL keep it simple cause the push pull design kinda defeats the purpose of the TL in the first place i'm mean why go with two subs in a push pull TL config when you can go with two subs each in its own TLalright heres my final solution...let me know whatcha think...2 re10's in a box like thishttp://www.teresaudio.com/haven/subs/finished.jpg
...with a big sonotube like that....my final question is...how i wire the subs in a push pull enclosure like that....
also gonna be powered by a plate amp, and is there a difference between a sonotube and a tl? ...thanks everyone for ur help...
