Choosing the right subs for my 2 JL 500/1's

I bought a vehicle that has 2 JL 500/1 amps hooked to 4 12" RF HX2's. Two of the subs were blown so i cant tell you how they all would all sound but i hate the way just the 2 good ones sound. I want to put somthing in that would kill like crazy and fit the power of those amps. Are two 15" L7s too much sub. What kind of subs do you suggest. The vehicle is a 97 tahoe so i have a good amount of space. I want to do a big *** ported box for whatever subs i choose. What do you guys suggest i get. Thanks for all your info.

well from what i hear the jl 500/1 puts out around 550-600w so i would go with L5's before L7's bc the L7 is power hungry and will want alot more than the ~600w you would be sending it.
