RE: 0 gauge Big 3

I was curious to get people's opinions on running two runs of 4 gauge (as a some what an equivalent) to 0 gauge wire to wire as the big 3?? Only asking due to huge excess of 4 gauge wire laying around and a ton of crimp connectors for 4 gauge. Just a thought. I am by all means not all knowing and would love some opinions.

I have a Dodge Ram with plenty of room to play with multiple runs of the mentioned 4 gauge.

Any thoughts? Or a waste of time? I am OK with "go with 0 gauge" but just looking for a good explanation as to why I should not go with 4 gauge. Only running a mono block at 100 amps full tilt and a four channel at roughly 40 amps (fuse rating / only running full pass with a symmetry), but need to upgrade the "Big 3". Thanks for the input.

thanks for the input. if i upgrade to bigger and better ( amps / woofers / more current draw ), then should i run 0 gauge and continue to multiple batteries and upgrade? Or will the smaller wire make a difference? Or possibly more runs of 4 gauge?? i am ok with welding buss type bars to the chassis / body to create a "huge ground". trying to think outside the box. a lot of my clients are not willing to spend the extra cheese if i can't give them a solid explanation of the benefits of these types of upgrades. i would love to back my own experience with a good explanation of things that i will have done to my own vehicles. thanks again

So your saying that you will ground all the ground wires from the Big3 in the same spot?

2x4 gauge = 1 gauge
Thats what i was needing to hear! Yes, It may look like a circus of wires underneath the hood but (done with the right touch) could actually look very professional and like a f*n power plant. Visually speaking. Thanks for your input:)

Let's just say two runs of 4 guage off of the battery to chasis as one ground. (as an example). Not all of the 3 to one ground unless.....? could that work? 13+ years and still learning any input is great!
