DD's aren't made that well, imo. Some of the loudest guys in MECA (Team TNT Dynamite Sounds) have stopped running DD subs because they say they're loud one day, and quiet the next.

Havent heard tell of this.. So I guess you feel the same about aq then?

umm ok...you smoking some good stuff. power compression on that woofer is around 3k..you must have had huge impedance rise.. i don't doubt 4k for a song but 6k daily it would def start to die... xmax is about 18mm, you will reack that with less than 2500 in a daily design... http://www.caraudioforum.com in the subwoofers section,there are 2 great post on T/S Parameters...learn them....

What impedance rise? 6k rated, or a clamped 6,000 watts?

i was playing music on it . . it wasnt full tilt all day . . and ya it will run full tilt 4k for way more than a song. I know the T/S , thanx tho

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that sub wont handle 6kw daily. Just aint happening period. I dont care what you think you had power wise on it, you dont have proof of actual measurements, and I guarantee you it was no where near 6kw on music. End of story
