i attempted to ask this in a current RD thread but people were yelling at each other and ididnt get a response //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif but low-hz.com has a deal for 2 12" RD classics and a SAE-1000D for $640...would that be a decent setup that would sound alright? (gonna be my first system...going into a 01' taurus)

yeah that would make for a nice system. The sundown is a good amp, and I've heard the classics and they wang pretty hard. worth the money.

i do agree it would be nice , but better/more can be had for the price...

maybe a used sae1000d and some mach 5 maw's? thats what i have planned for my next setup.

thanks for all the replies guys!! and no, it doesnt really need to be new...would kind of like some warranties or something maybe just in case.. im not looking for something thats extremely loud...just want something for everyday listening (pretty much all rap) but still want it to slam.. ive been debating what to get for a few months now...i was maybe thinking a type r 12..everyone around here seems to love them...and power it with a txe-1000d..or maybe like sqhertz suggested the maw12s...but yet again i still am having hard time to decide ..but im limiting myself to 700 TOPS for sub(s)/amp and gonna build my own box...aka my dad the carpenter hahaha...so, keep shootin away and hopefully ill make a decision sometime //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

at 700 you can get some bang for the buck. you could grab a used sae/z-1500d for ~350 and they do have a transferable warranty. also thier custo service is top notch. and the rest you could pick up a decent single woofer and feed it that 1.5kw...

Honestly, Kevin from Low-hz is running tow 12" classics ported at 32 on a RD 1000.1 and honestly man, it's pretty effing loud for what it is. You'll be plenty happy.
