Ok gang, got em in this evening. I can say the first thing that I noticed first was how better packed up the box was compaired to my DD9918's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif I would like to take this moment to thank Ben and Kevin at Low-Hz who is an authorized dealer for RD Audio - them and Steve Miller supplied the subs for me to compete with for the rest of the season.

I really like when a sub is shipped to you properly. Makes it at least seem that the company actually gives a shit if you get the sub in working order.

for the record, these are RD Audio Super Heavyweights (SHW 18 D2) with the 4" voice coil option.

They kinda look plain - the new dust covers didnt come out until next week and I really couldnt wait because I have a show this weekend to attend as well. I'll try them out in about a day or so and do a video for you all. Let us know how the 4" VC goes over. I was talkin to Kevin (their sales rep) and he said there might be issues with the spider since the 4" coil takes up so much room. Does it have 10" spiders?

They're 9" spiders, so I dont know when that changed, i'll have to ask them tomorrow.

In all honesty, they're not the prettiest sub. But im not interested in being flashy - thats for the guys with all the fiberglass, paint, $20 a yard fabric and gullwing doors. x2. I've always wanted to try to go flashy...maybe fiberglass some 8s in the trunk...but with the setups i do, i never get the chance to do it.
