coming from the one person who dislikes rd the most even i agree they are nothing like fi

I'm not going to break up the bandwagon, but let's just say that I speak to an RD rep and I've heard a few things.

Oh well though, beside the point I'm sure they're decent woofers. I just think people should take videos and prove their facts before they make claims. Not too much to ask now is it?

wait i hope you arent saying im on the rd bandwagon because i do believe im the biggest hater and i cant stand almost all their reps poor choices in character for the most part

I wasn't reffering specifically to you when mentioning the bandwagon....I CAN read a post, lol. Anyway, I don't agree with the reps either. I tested one of the reps and they'd pick apart every product I threw at them trying to downgrade them. Of course, every product has it's faults, but comparing a single sub to everything from SQ (mentioned the SI Mag) to SPL (mentioned the DD 99z series), they had something bad to say and litterally stated that there was an RD sub that would "obliterate" it.

I'm just using this as an example. If I wasn't somewhat of friends with this person, I'd drop their name. My point is, the products are over hyped (atleast through this person). I'd like more videos to support the claims I've heard, hence my original post. I'm tired of seeing people ramble and would much rather see some vids.

hmmm..we got a pair of solo x 18's, 7.75ft^3 net each, 100in^2 of port each tuned to 30hz to hit 151db on music off just 4kwrms. in an escalade, mic in the kick. electrical was pimp, dual 220 amp irragi's, a yellow up front and a blue in the back.

of course, james's crx killed it with his street a setup. 156 or so. and that's a pair of tens. so i can see where it can be done, the single 12 thing. especialy in usaci.

and rD is way overhyped. they do indeed have an rD sub that will destroy anything in it's class.

i'll get to personally put that to the termlab in a few days when the rD classic gets here, adn goes against the icon, the maw12, the rl-p, the la x2, a cvr and a m3. the last two if the boss will let me borrow them.

hey now no need to battle over if a 12 is as loud as my system........i just made 2 12's very easily do a 154.5 on 4,000 watts total. The pure SPL burp thing isnt always easy but its definitly not the same thing. That 154.5 was pretty loud but it didnt sound anything like, say, a certain red Tahoe in Reno (J.C. i think). This guy only did a 152.5 at the dash but it was taking the wind out of my lungs and i thought he was going to be close to me. It turned out he wasnt but it was real loud and deep. What im saying is, i dont care what the meter reads its a big difference. I was over 3db louder than meade's old setup last year with 4 12's, on a 12 volt setup, while he was using 16 volts. Both scores were taken is USAC street beat, in SUV's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

I Dont know who told you we were knockoffs of Fi Mass but we are not knockoffs of anyone, that includes atomic. As you will soon see almost all of our new subwoofers feature hot forged rounded steel backplate. The only thing our company ever had in common with any other company was the the standard SJA bumped backplate, and that wont be present in our line for much longer. We dont share any softparts with anything SJA industries produces, and we will no longer share any magnet structure with anything SJA produces.

For instance the Alpha v.2

-240 ounce 7 1/2 inch wide magnet structure

-20 mm top plate

-Hot forged rounded steel backplate (released within the next 2 weeks) ( 21 pounds and features extended depth over the bumped backplate)

-3 inch voice coil with 10mm longer coil wind then our orignal alpha v.1 and also now has a vented pole piece

Please find me something compareable in the Atomic line up or any other companies line up.

It's an explorer. Not a wall. The setup was street C legal, except I throw in a few more batteries to run street beat. It plays low pretty well, probably not quite as low as yours, but good enough for me. It plays +/- 0.5 db from 37-58 hz. I never have bothered to try to make it pretty, so pics aren't anything special, but here ya go. I had 4 mojo 4kw's for power. BTW, I never intended to call you out. I admire your setup. I'm confident with a little work and testing, you could have it doing better numbers, if you cared about numbers.

I think that the difference between this setup and something like Meade's is that this one can play music for 30 seconds and Meade's can probably do 150s for 30 minutes. I don't find it incredibly hard to believe 150s on music for 30 seconds, but that single 12 probably won't like it for extremely long periods of time like a setup with four woofers.
