rd alpha v2 vs hdc3

nothing uber impressive, but i could pull 149.9s in a daily box off of a total of 3k with 2 alpha 15s. this was when the v.2 had just come out. im sure now i could get them easily over 150. they are pretty good subs. sounded good, were loud.
btw what soft part setup you looking at darren? 1 spider? 2 spider? round wire? flat wind? the ones i had were the round wire dual spider version.

Those are pretty good #'s, esp when I'm lookin to throw about 4k atleast to 2 15's....I need some soft parts that will take 2k a piece daily...I don't want them heating up after 10 min.

I'm not sure on the soft parts I would want. Prolly a flat wound coil to handle more power and dual spiders...I think they are 8 layer right? What would you suggest Hunter? Maybe I will just text ya...also what box specs were you using with yur rd's?

My numbers are in the sig. I did a 149 @44hz and a 148 30 second average with 2 Alpha V.2 18"s off a Sundown 3000d. Could have pulled better numbers with proper electrical.

those are just burps?....what about on music, do you think 2 15's could take 2k-2400 each daily....what was yur box tuning and specs too?

Had 2500 on a V2 Daily...never got it metered though...Took the power like a champ

148 30 second average is 30 seconds of music my friend Box tuned to 35hz. Id say yes to it can handle 2k daily 2.5k make sure your signal is really clean and more then likely can. You just might have to be a little careful giving it 2.5k

not a whole lot of change between the 2, as the softparts go in between the two.

when i have some extra cash to throw around, ill be replacing the softparts with v2 parts.
