RCA Output

I have an Eclipse 5423 Deck with 3 sets of outputs. I am currently using all of them for my two amps. The problem is one channel in the front will not give any output. Do they go bad? I know its not the amp or the speaker so any suggestions?

I think I am gonna sell it and get an Alpine anyway. Better Ipod connectivity.

Quick way to check.

Grab a DMM, set it to AC Voltage, connect the red DMM lead to the center of the RCA wire and the black DMM lead to the outer shield of the RCA, then turn your deck up and play a test tone (I would recommend disconnecting all the other RCA's from the amplifiers, so that you aren't blasting your stereo during the testing).

With the deck turned up to ~90% of it's max volume, it should have an output of near it's rated voltage output.

This way, even if you do sell it, you'll know whether or not that preamp output works and can inform the buyer.

friends clarion deck has one dead RCA out, out of 4, so I guess its possible.
