Rating the SQ of subwoofers...

4 Funky Pup 8s and a 40.1 @ .5 ohm ftw....

x2..

I currently have 2 JL 10w3v2 with jl 500/1 amp in my ford explorer 96. From 1 to 10 stars what would you guys rate this setup for SQ, and 1-10 SPL.
Then with that inmind. I can then figure out where i want to go from there, the setup i want to do consists of this...

2 DD 9515", 1 IA 20.1

2 MT 15", 1 IA 20.1

3 RL-p 15", 1 IA 20.1

2 Solo X 12", 1 IA20.1

All the setups have room to expand easily, some by adding another 20.1 and some adding more subs and another amp. Please rate these potential setups with a 1-10 sq, and 1-10 spl, in a generic setup. The installation of the JL products are prefab so assume prefab of the potential setups, even tho in the final desicion they will be custom installs. (just to help enhance the setups potential.

Thanks much, dont flame me about OMG SEARCH, because this pertains to me understanding where my current system, which ive listen to heard and played with and am usta rates with the others so i know if i really need that much or if im doing what i want. Cus i know how loud 2 jl 10w3v2s and 500/1 are. This helps in my decision thanks again.
You dont really have enough power for any of them..If anything 2 15" rl-p s... If you had another 20.1 or a 40.1 id say DD or RE

thats what i figured... i was going to underpower the dds and mts running it at .35 or .5 ogm till i got another 20.1, but we will see.

Why does everyone talk about underpowering subs and componenets? I had 400w on a XXX for a time and guess what, it sounded great. It wasn't going to win any SPL comps but the sound was excellent. It is not possible to underpower speakers. You may not get the maximum possible volume out of them but for SQ, that isn't really a concern.

Why would you buy a XXX and only put 400 watts to it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
