i agree that buying used would help your rating a lot, and it owuld make you TONS happier

but

as it sits

HU - good HU, i owned it and liked it, not a **** thing wrong with it

Subs - shitty, outright. There is worse out there but a lot better, and for 300 dollars you can piss all overthose bro, at least get the CVR's if you're going that route - as everything else said

Sub Amp - once again, better out there but, it's a decent amp, you wont really be disappointed on it.

Type E is on the same level as the Comps you were looking at, so no

The Comp VR's get plenty louder than the Comps, it's one of those things you have to hear in the car to understand

It's worth the difference to go with the comp vr's, if nothing else is changed in your head, please - listen to that much

Also the amp kit you need is at least a 4 gauge, which should be fine I'd say, do NOT go any smaller.

Should I get the Type R 4 ohm version? Or 2 ohm version?

All the 2 ohms on ebay were "Buy it now" for like $130.

The 4 ohms were quite a bit cheaper.

Any recommendations on the box? Remember, I can only spend up to $390-400 on the subs and box (shipped)
