Rargh I Hate My Life!

I'm a good drive from osage beach hour and a half if not two hours. We have a cabin down there somewhere, my parent's own it. Near this eating/boat place called red fox marina.

Ok here, let me try to decode this for you.

I bought a 1400 watt setup that said it would hold 700 rms continuous power through the line. The line was a pretty dang big red one. I ran it to the back, it was too short, I had to connect it to a slightly smaller one for about half a foot to reach the power.

I have a ground wire that was too short too, connected it to another ground wire which connects to the ground port. Both ground wires are the exact same gauge.

I have my rca jacks hooked up, and my remote hooked up as well.

The speakers were in the bridged position.

walmart is fine, as long as you buy the proper length and guage. btw walmart doesn't sell 5 gauge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
yeah theyve got the schosche 5 awg kits. ive used a few in my day. it's actually not too bad.

It was schosche wire, with a 5 in the name of the gauge. See I was partially right.

Woo I hope they do slam lol, that was the intent. They barely fit in the back of my sable.

Yes, I do drive a pimping ride as well.

Hey man I would appreciate the hell out of it. I have friends who know what they are doing, they were the ones who corrected me. They didn't see too much problem with the wiring other than it didn't look pretty. They hated the box, and the way I HAD wired them. They are paralell hooked now, and are 4 ohm versions, so they are hooked up to run 2 ohm now.

Maybe if I'm up there sometime I'll give you a shout and we can meet.

Ok maybe it was running at 1 ohm. The friend's amp we used was one ohm stable. So, maybe when I ran it parallel it was one ohm, and completely destroyed the amp as soon as it burped to life?

YES the amp that is blown/trashed is 25 amp fuses, two of them.

ya sounds like your friends "think" they need what their doin

but yes you have your amp down to a 1 ohm load and that amp wont power on because of it. try un-hooking the subs and turning on the amp.

if it doesnt turn on spend the extra money to get a solid run of wire to the amp. then try it

an amp isnt one ohm stable and you have it wired to 1 ohm will not just not power on its not until you play it for a couple of seconds until it kicks off and ive seen them cut out after 15 minutes of play time depending on power and volume

so your amp mayt still be good you just have to wire them different
