It turns on, the protection light comes on. This amp did some strange shit to begin with. The amp ran on my two 12" subs. I blew the main fuse in my small gauge wire in my old system.

The new system is hooked up, it has alot bigger fuse in the main line and a bigger main line. The speakers, which are 2 ohm EACH voice coil. Which adds up to 4 ohms PER subwoofer, powered on and immediately once they burped the two 25a fuses blew. We tried it again, and the fuses blew again. Finally, we rewired the subwoofers just in case, so they had the least load possible, and also even tried to not bridge it. This did nothing,t he protection light is on, with or without rca jacks or speaker wires into the amp with just power ground and remote.

Yes a 100a fuse in the main line.

So, if the subwoofer is 4 ohm, dual voice coil (that's 2 ohms per coil). Then I'll have to get a 1 ohm stable amplifier to power these with decent amount of energy while paralell.

They're 4 ohm per subwoofer. My friends said they had hooked them up to run at 2 ohm.

Guess they didn't. They're buying the dual 2 ohm version. Which either means they're getting ones like mine, or they really are getting 1 ohm per voice coil ones. There's no telling. I just need a decent amplifier and a new box eventually.

why is it so hard to tell wether your subs are dual 2 or dual 4? it sounds to me you need to strip everything and start from sctratch

Woo great..thank you so much guys, it has been difficult getting the specifications. Rocky, I'll try to keep in touch in case I get down to the lake some time to admire your system. Right now, I can tell you mine isn't impressive.

The speakers are some shytie x-plods. Not even 6x9's in the back because the sable had a special size which I purchased lol, they are like 6x5's or something like that, funky size. And then my two front two x-plode speakers as well. A relatively older Kenwood head unit, no amplifier, and of course the kickers in a cruddy box.

Now, I know you're gonna flame me for the setup but the amp was bogus. I hooked up a kicker one from a friend and it ran them like shit too but it's because the kicker amp was 10 years old, and looked like a radiator. It was too old and had been sapped dry by the 15" jl's it had been running so it wasn't accurate to gauge it on running these kickers.
I have a 5 gauge power running to the back,which was too short. I hooked it into a multi amp hookup that had a 6 gauge wire or so running to the power. 100 amp fuse to this line.

An 8 gauge or so ground.

Remote wire.

Two kicker 15" L7's. 2000 watts max, 1000 rms.

2000 watt two channel Lanzar viberant, a piece of shit so I've been told now.
