great answer, really informative, hehe! I know its kind of a dumb question, but I know when people get their car metered and do tests they use sine waves. I know sign waves are not dynamic and they definitely would put every part of your system under the most stress. I was just wondering if you would compare the bass in rap tracks to what sign waves being played are. thanks

You can clearly hear the difference between a straight sine wave and a dynamic note, at least on my system

There's no rule of thumb that says all rap bass is sine waves, but you do find them much more often in rap than rock for example
