does anyne know how hard would it be to swap a 5.0 mustang motor into a 98-up ranger i would really appreciate it ive looked but i cant find anything usefull

It's pretty wasy to drop a 5.0 in an S-10 so a 4.8 in a B-Series shouldnt be too hard. The Engine compartment is a little tight with the v6 but I think there is room. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

from what i remember they make kits for the swap and depending on the ****** it might drop in to. i'm not familiar with the 4.8 what other cars was it in??

no its not a 4.8 its a 5.0 347 stroked out im taking it out of my wrecked stang b/c i hate to see that motor go to hell with only 2,000 miles on it and im a die hard ford man for life and i think it would be pretty differnt to see a slammed ranger with a 347 in it gotta love that v8 rumble

Rangers do NOT look good slammed. I will tell you that right now. They look much better lifted. With a torsion suspension they handle like a boat anyway so lifted is the way to go.

lifted really isnt my style and the whole point of me gettin g a truck was to make it loud and envetntually makie it a show winner

i would do an s-10 but then i would have to sell and part out my car which i dont want to do b/c i pretty much built it since 7th grade and s-10's are fawking expensive i found a really nive rage extended cab for 4200 so if i get ill have around 3000 to throw at it sound and rims and droping it

You wont win shows with a slammed ranger. They just dont look good lowered. Lifted vehicles can win shows too you know.

If you REALLY want a show winning vehicle. Take that masive 5.0 and drop it into a fox body and do a ground up rebuild of the car over time to make it a show car.

Most trucks dont look good sitting on the ground unless they are swept side/splash side.
