Isn't it Tune lower for more SQ and higher for SPL?
I personally don't believe this is a valid argument (i've had boxes tuned to 30hz vs 40hz)

I have had some 45hz boxes that sounded great.. and some 32hz boxes that sounded like farts (same driver in the boxes)

SQ is subjective and doesn't fit everyone's opinion.

SPL is measurable and not every vehicle peaks high.

We have some vehicles in my area currently peaking at 39hz and 28hz.

Now, the 28hz, we are 99% sure it's tuning error but the 39hz is correct after years of tuning.

Cool thing is the truck that is peaking at 28hz is winning still, hehe, so that's always a plus.

Any indication that a loose wire may be the issue? I'd start by checking all the +/- connections to see if one has come lose or is starting to...
