I raised my rear seat,I bought a little kit from some one guy at the chevy truck forum but it can easily be replicated with some steel 2x2 and a little injinuity

We used body shims when we raised the bench in the rear of a 2007 silverado for Optima batteries a month or so ago. Only raise it high enough to allow the factory bolts or nuts to still be used or a longer equivilant. Other wise you are risking the safety and integrity of the seats.
