Raising the back seat in an Ext. Cab Chevy

solox.jpg

there is a guy who put some kickers in his silverado. IIRC the box was sealed and it sounded pretty decent

if your 95 is like my dads 90 sierra it is prretty much impossible.

the seat pivots on a big steel bar that is mounted on the side of the cab.

you would have to raise that joint and i dont think it would happen without some cutting and welding.

so short answer i would say no.

well in my dads i crammed in a eu-700 in a .25 cube sealed box....

but you could probably get a pair of 8's in there.

the problem i ran into is depth, the box wasnt very tall or deep.

you could bring the box out further than i did, i just didnt want it to be seen at all so it could come out another inch or so

and if you ised 1/2" mdf instead of 3/4 then you might squeeze in some 10s

but again this is all assuming the space is the same as it is on my dads truck.

yea i already have 12s in there the CompVRs there mounting depth is 6-3/16"

the L7 12s wont fit, but i'm sure the 10s will (6-3/8" mounting depth)

will the L7 10s hit harder than my CompVrs with a kx1200.1?

Anyone ever sucessfully done this, for fairly cheap?
If so, how?
We just got done raising the seat in a '05 SS 1 inch. It was fairly easy. We used 1" blocks.

We also did a glass bottom enclosure that netted us with 3.66cu^ft of internal displacement.

And what to do in 3.66cu^ft?

8 RE8's of course, ported tuned to 32. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Power them with a Zapco 1100.1Z and let them fly.

It's deffinatly our "loudest" system we've done under the seat of a chevy ext cab. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
