I would think this would put some extra strain on the alty but someone can try and let us know

ive seen this done and it works but if you charge like this too long it will cook 12v batteries.

Cliffs, Buy a diode rated at 3 amps

Put in the + line running to the regulator

Lowers voltage to reg down .6-1.2 volts

Reg tells alt to charge .6-1.2 volts higher.

There was a company selling these plugs that did the same thing and just had a diode in them and they charged a ridiculous amount....

Hmmm... nope still too long. This is suppose to be easy.
Cliffs for the cliffs? For one thing, leaving the word cliffs out at the top will save an entire line. And I didnt get that far because of its sheer length, but Im betting you begged for a sticky in there somewhere too, which could be left out as well.
