hammer is only 400 watt rms

how much are the rainbow subs?

are u after loud or sound quality?

Those subs are cheaply made except skar. Skar all day over those two

well now that i actually looked into the prices lol. the amboss are 300 each, the hammer are 200 and the skar are only 150-60. i want loud, without sacrificing a lot of sound quality

AQ makes some nice budget stuff that gets loud

would u take the Skar VVX over the AQ Street Duty 2.5 12?

Also, im still contemplating going with the SA-12's over the Skar VVX. havent decided yet.

skars and sa's are just about identical, really couldnt go wrong either way. Although I'd prefer Sa's customer service anyday over skar. Jacob's a good guy over at Sundown.

Skars are decent subs for the price for sure(just do your research on them and the compnay). As most know, I'm partial to the AQ line though.

That really isn't the case -- the motors vary in nearly every measurement (TP height ,TP ID, TP OD, Pole Extension height, Magnet height, magnet OD, back plate thickness, etc), the motor ventilation techniques are different, the coils are different lengths (one also having a vented former and one not), surround and dust cap are different.

I utilized the same spider, cone body, tinsel leads, and triple joint ring though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Both drivers also have a strong low-end extension with the Skar leaning a bit more towards sub 35 hz low-end and less towards max SPL and the SA, of course, going the other direction a bit.

I have been leaning towards the skar's and either getting the SAX-1200d or the Audioque 220d amp. still figuring out all the details i want on a custom box though. along with the pioneer avh-p4300

I have done a few enclosures for sa12s and a few for skars on the AQ2200D.... A tad more then rated, but they seem to do fairly well though.
