i want to upgrade my system in my 07 g35 and was thinking of going with the

profi vanadiums cs365kicks up front since the stock is a 3way setup. I was gonna purchase some mb quarts but ive heard nothing but good reviews about rainbow and mb q doesnt offer 3way comps. Are the sl's good speakers for the rear? Would that be ok since the cs has titanium tweets and the sl has silk tweets or did i just misread something? Would it be a completely different sound? I need some advice since there is no shops around here that carry rainbow. And whats the best online site to purchase rainbows from?

But would the titanium tweets in the profi vanadium line (comps) for front and the silk tweets in the sl line for rear (coax) blend well together?

Sure, if it just for rear fill.

Personally with a 3way setup up front I would use any rear fill.

Really depends on your listening habits and budget of course. I'd say 200+rms per side from a quality amplifier is the minimum I'd personally use to power them passively-will ensure better overall headroom, particularly helps with dynamic content in the midbass region..

Id second the vote for no rear fill, esecially with that 3 way set up front. Although that car is made to accomodate massive front door drivers, may want to consider several different options there...Is Active a possbility?

What other options would you suggest? What exactly is the difference between active and passive? Ive read some other posts about this but could you expain it in the easiest possible way for me to understand? Thanx

Ok is running your system active basically add more tunability? Since the 880prs has a 16 band eq would it be the same tunability? Did I completely misunderstand what active a system is/does? I understand for the most part about speakers, subs, hu's, amps, and the basics but my bro usually installs and tunes my system for me and he doesnt explain anything to me. Sorry if I sound like a idiot but I would like to learn.

Would 2 12 idmax subs compliment the rainbows?

Original plan was 2 12 2512 dd's but i want the best of both worlds sq and spl. And the idmax seems to fit that. Input would be extremely helpful. Thanx

I agree, give them atleast 200 a side if running passive...and definetly no rear fill! Active is the way to go if you can tune and have the amplifiers..try looking into this if you can!

What amp should i go with, the zapco reference 750.2 or 360.4?

Is there any other amps that I should look into?

as for amps that could be a long list but here are a few suggetions. Arc SE 4200 or 2300, DLS Ultimate A7, Audison LRx 2.5 or VRx 2.4

I have the Profi CS365s and I actually just ordered a Zed Audio Deuce to power them. If you can wait a few days I'll let you know how they sound.
