I would love to start...

but I don't have a car! My car right now is being used by my dad..and his car has a flat. so I just decided to purchase another car.

I'm pretty sure i'm getting a 2004 RSX type S. My last car was a completely sealed trunk...so I can't wait to hear my 15" TC3k in a hatch!

Would it be better to use the plastic mounting bracket that came with the Germs or use the 3/4" MDF baffle that I have made for em when I attempt to fit them into my doors?

Hey bud, glad to see they arrived.

The ring supplied is more ideal if you will be mounting the Germ grills in an install where the speaker is in the exterior of the door panel facing the interior and you have to protect it.

If the driver is being placed on the door metal behind a panel, its best recommended to achieve the most solid mounting attainable and use mdf ring/baffle spacer between the driver and the door. If you wish to use the ring along with the baffle its your judgement call, i feel you can achieve a better seal against the baffle without it.

Also recommended to mass load the area around the baffle at the very least.
