For what its worth, I went from the SLC to the Profi Kicks.

Still haven't got them installed (sitting for what 8 mos?)

The logic was the SLCs just didn't do it for me as far as midbass goes. I also read a review of a direct comparison of the kick / phase plug and he reccomended the kick. The kick does come with limitations and you have to have an appropriate substage to make it work well. (I am thinking anyways)

If you are uncomfortable about your substage (can it play good to say 60 Hz because it does cross, subs don't stop at 80 Hz and the mids begin at 80 Hz)

If your substage is all about the lows and all that good stuff, I would go with the phase plug.

doing a 3way in factory locations and all in the door is a waste of time and money...I'd do the profi 2way and call it a day...then at a later point step up to an active setup...

I think you made a very good choice.

The Powerline midbass is MASSIVE... and would be quite difficult to install in my doors...

Now I just need to decide between the Profi standard, Kickbass or the Phase plug version...
