yeah "ain't" stop acting like your so holy than thou. i guess we're the only ones who use slang. even though the word is in the dictionary, just a thought. but no one is b!*chin here man, thank god i came from a family that has something going (my pops has a degree in pharmacy and has been one for 20 something years). but unfortunately i can't say the same for some of the people i know and even my family. i'm doing what i have to do to get mine (2 more years and then a degree in mechanical engineering). but doing the right thing as a african american is rough when you come from a family that doesn't know the system and your school system isn't willing to help. i know so many people that graduated from high school and don't know the steps to take to the next level. nor does anyone in their family because graduating high school is the farthest anyone has been. those are the one the UNCF and NAACP are for because their are still school counselor in the inner city that don't give a flying f**k what happens to the students. so stating that those organizations are not for a REAL cause means that you don't even understand their purpose. check out the websites and read their mission statements. and i didn't say anything about no f**ckin reparations that's bullsh!t i'll work for mine. and be glad that i could achieve past stupid a$ses like yourself.

Racism is still going strong- though not in the way commonly thought. I think white people are now the victim of racism in many ways. Thing is, if we (white people) mention it, we are immediately labeled as racists or bigots. Consider what would happen if white people did any of the following:
Started a "United Non Negro College Fund"

Started an association for the advancement of caucasians

Made a movie showcasing all the common stereotypes about black people (similiar to "White Chicks")

Had a television station or magazines SPECIFICALLY for white people, similiar to BET and Jet

Wanted to be called "european americans" or whatever the case may be, like the whole "african american" shit

The thing is, everytime something goes wrong for a black person, you immediately hear "racial discrimination". Is it not discrimination for blacks to be handed jobs based on their color?

The civil rights movement was supposed to be about people being equal, which is how it should be, but now it seems as though black people want to be better than whites.

Other thoughts on this??

yes, I agree on the reperations deal as well. The way I feel about it, anyone that was a slave is entitled to their 40acres and a mule. Anyone else *****ing about it needs to learn theres no such thing as something for nothing and stfu[/story]
