Raamat > Damplifier

Just had my first experience with Raamat, and wow is it good shit.
Not quite as thick as Damplifier, but it's sooooooooooooooo much easier to put on, and the quality is there. I think Damplifier just has a much thicker aluminum backing.

Would it have the same damping power as regular Damplifier? I'd think so. But not Damplifier Pro.

I'll be choosing Raamat (2 roles!) for my car simply because ease of use.

Raamat > Damplifier

I'm ready to get flamed!

Remember guys, competition only makes the product better, and usually less expensive too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Edit: After thinking about it, and hearing about other people's negative experiences with Raamat, I think I'll hold off on further judgment until I see how well my Raamat holds up on my trunk lid.
Wow, what an enlightening principal. I'm so glad we have you and your contributions here on the forums. Perhaps you could give young tiger bass some of your fantastic advice on women and finances?

on this note.. came acros this tonight-http://www.cardomain.com/ride/196444

so much for raamat. (read pages 1, and then 4)

From what I can see in the pictures, it appears that is the original version of Raammat, which was asphalt based.

The newer Raammat BXT that Rick sells is buytl based.

So don't judge the newer Raammat off of that site or any other that references the original asphalt based material as it is not comparable to the current version of Raammat.

Rick is a great guy to do business with. BXT is awesome and so is the customer service.
AMEN!!! I've spoken to Rick many times, and he is a great guy to deal with. I've put it in two of my own vehicles and have no issues. I would say that those that have had problems are install related, just like many things in this hobby.

I've never installed any damplifier so I can't say it's any better or worse, but I have used just about all other brands and styles of mat.

raamat is the same as the damplifier for a better price. So i'd go raamat
Man I wish peoiple would stop saying this..

Raammat is a good product but not "the same" as Damplifier.

Which product converts more vibration to heat for less money? That is, in fact, the better deadener. Of course, you'd have to define "deadener" in this instance, as such.

You can buy MUCH better "deadener" for less money if you understand the physical properties of the material, know what they can and cannot do, and use them for the appropriate job.

If you put these products under the category of "structural damping" and then consider how well they do such a thing, you'd see how limited they are for use in the automobile. Too many years of "deadening" dogma and too many companies banking on the fact that you don't know the difference between your *** and a hot rock. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
