Raamat > Damplifier

why is this wannabe gangster hating so hard on raammat? i've used dynamat extreme, damp pro, and raammat, and raam is just fine. i live in kansas where it gets much hotter than michigan, and have had no trouble with my truck sitting outside all day windows down in 110+ weather, or with the triple layers on my roof.
you guys that are getting it all over everything... try not touching the sticky side, and not sticking the mat someplace you dont want it and then trying to move it. once its laid down, use a roller or your hand to push it into the metal all over. this isnt rocket science folks. proper install = win
Who's the gangster that's hating, because I read the whole thread and I still didn't see it!?!

It was a stray piece of Raammat. I never said it was a bad product, nor did I say that I wouldn't use it again. I love how people 'jump to conclusions' and take plain English 'out of context'..

Go back and reread what was said and then wash your mouth out with buck shot.

Now that's gangster.

x2 i probably have close to 30 sq ft per door in my car and currently have a single layer of raammat on my decklid and have 0 issues.

It's probably just installation error.. I was in quite the hurry when I did my passenger side door, as it was getting pretty dark out when I installed it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
And that is part of the reason why Damplifier cost more to make than Raammat.

Even when "user error" comes in to play. You will never find a single case of product failure.

Look around on the internet and see if you can find one case of Damplifier or Damplifier Pro failing. (Talking the current butyl formula with extra thick foil, not the old asphlat stuff from 3 or 4 years ago)

You can look, but you will not find it, and I strongly doubt that for some reason customers who purchase Damplifier, do a better job of installing it, than those that purchased all these other products that have been failing for years)

Our customers install the stuff just like everyone else, and yet, not one single reported case of product failure..

Here is why. The butyl we use has the highest heat rating in the industry, and no inexpennsive filler that will fail with heat either.

It is impossible to get Damplifier to melt. That would be like trying to get a sheet of drywall to melt. Can happen. It can burn and deteriorate, but will not melt or ooze, or run or loose adhesion from heat.

Also, the foil on Damplifier is twice as thick as the foil on Raammat. and even though it is a thinner product, Damplifier Weighs more becuase of its very dense adhesive. Damplifier Pro has a foil that is 3 times as thick as the foil on raammat, and weighs almost twice as much (almost)

Raammat is a great product for the money, and is a good alternative to higher priced products, but it is no substitution.

If I were on a budget, and did not own Second Skin Audio LLC. I would certianly use Raammat.

Anyone can find a picture of a car with raamat installed and call in their own.
And if you're serious, you have more free time on your hands than I do. You'd be willing to go through all that trouble for $13.62? That will you a pack of cigarettes and blowjob from a homeless person, if you're lucky.
haha, you had me on the floor:D

Messy? I live in Florida, I installed it in 90 degree weather, in direct sun, and I didn't have any mess. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
Neither I or Fusion_FREAK had any rubber or what not on our hands. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
only semen, huh?

I like them both personally. All though the hair on my arms ( or lack there of ) didn't really care for the adhesive on the damp pro lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Used both... Damplifier IS more effective but Raamat IS easier to apply.
From the specs of both product , rammat is MORE EASIER TO apply in trade off you have to install 2 layers to get a decent result on weak doors.

Damplifier pro is way too thick , harder to apply but the thickness pays for it self , however im not sure if my carpet will fits correctly if i put on firewall and flooor. Rightnow waiting for my money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif so i'll give damplifier pro a try .

you're comparing two different products. Damplifier pro and raamat are not alike. Damplifier and raamat, however, are and raamat is the same as the damplifier for a better price. So i'd go raamat
