Look up the disease of addiction bro...and you will discover what a dumbass statement you just made.all she had to do was quit
But in this case it was a disease that could have been avoided at all costs.Look up the disease of addiction bro...and you will discover what a dumbass statement you just made.
Anyways, I never cared for the chick, but it always pisses me off when addiction kills another human being...nasty, morbid disease.
Nope...wrong...a lot of science behind it being genetic and once you trigger the addiction, you are in a world of hurt. It has nothing to do with willpower or getting "cured".But in this case it was a disease that could have been avoided at all costs.
so, what ur saying is that all addicts are just helpless to their addiction? cuz if so, I know a few people on here with personal experience who would beg to differ.... not saying its not a horrible and hard to fight disease... cuz it is... but to me, that just sounds like the same excuse to get high, just sayinNope...wrong...a lot of science behind it being genetic and once you trigger the addiction, you are in a world of hurt. yup i was on drugs bad... finally got my **** together about a year and a half ago... was nuts for a good 2 1/2-3 years tho... i got a good job had a bunch of extra money and it just escalated til it was out of control and i couldnt do anything to control myselfqfft
been through some troubles myself. **** can be mad hard to quit. a lot of it's just your mentality about the situation too. it's amazing how you can change perspectives on things that you once viewed as beneath you. i even found pot hard to quit after a year and a half of every day usage. pot can be very psychologically addicting over the long term.
i dont disagree with what he says once your addict you can go right back to that life at any point...it is a disease and is passed down through genetics they say...any thing can set you of... its not easy to "just quit" especially if your using a drug like heroin or something that makes you physically ill when you dont have it... the withdrawls can be insanely bad...diareaha, body aches like you wouldnt believe, your hot one second, freezin cold the next, you throw up... and what makes that hard to just sit there and take is you know exactly what will make you instantly feel better... nobody starts doing drugs saying man i hope this gets really out of hand fast..it just happens.. i never thought in a million years i would have been on drugs like i was i wouldnt even smoke pot in high school.. i got mixed up with a girl who had a drug problem and tried it and it just escalated til i was spending 200-300$ easy every day on drugs and not paying my bills.so, what ur saying is that all addicts are just helpless to their addiction? cuz if so, I know a few people on here with personal experience who would beg to differ.... not saying its not a horrible and hard to fight disease... cuz it is... but to me, that just sounds like the same excuse to get high, just sayin
They cannot quit on their own...they cannot...they need help from others...alcoholics turn to AA, get a sponsor, the 12 step program, rehab, LDAC (Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselors), etc. Drug users have NA and the same as AA. You need a support system behind you and take it one day at a time...and you have to WORK the program. It's not about willpower. People, places and things baby. Addiction is a disease, an entity in and of itself...it is ALWAYS there for the addict...lurking, waiting for an opening...and its ultimate goal is to kill you. Period.so, what ur saying is that all addicts are just helpless to their addiction? cuz if so, I know a few people on here with personal experience who would beg to differ.... not saying its not a horrible and hard to fight disease... cuz it is... but to me, that just sounds like the same excuse to get high, just sayin
