R.I.P. amp, need new suggestions

When i was moving things around in my trunk the + and - speaker cables touched and immediately my amp made a funny noise and shut off. Now when i replace the fuse under the hood it immediately blows after my amp turns on and makes the same screaching noise...Took me 3 fuses before i said **** it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Anyways from what i have read it sounds like my amp is blown and i need suggestions on a new one. My previous amp was a RF 1000bd powering a RE XXX...What sub would be good for that running through 4 guage wire? i know i know i need 1/0 wiring but that can't be done for acouple months

viper d1200.1 or directed 2400d. (i had a viper d1200.1 and ran it with 4awg and i was suprised how efficient it was.)

x 2 on the directed 2400d good amp, that is why i don`t like Rockford amps, their too ****in senstive, touch the speaker wires like that on most amp and they will have a protection circuit which just kicks the amp off without killing it...stupid RF amps
