Sorry i went and looked at the stuff your talking about, i was thinking of something else.

That is asphalt based and should not be used.

I believe it is actually made by the same person who makes fatmat, so stay far away. Sorry for the misinformation.

And i know he claims to it be a butyl but it is infact asphalt based, i can produce proof of this if necessary.

Actually yes it will smell like asphalt for a while, ive heard of people in hotter areas(TX,FL,CA) smelling for up to months.

Shitty, i would not recommend it. Believe me ive used almost everything out there, go with damplifier you cant go wrong. I got alot more edead for my money but i would have the double and triple layer in areas to get the same effectiveness as somewhere with damplifier. The edead has also failed in some places and i have removed it. The mylar backing is peeling off the mat.

Raammat is not bad but not as thick and effective as damplifier in my experince.

Plus their customer service is top notch.
