Hello,
I just got a Pioneer DEH-P880PRS for an early Christmas gift. I know this is an older unit, but thought someone here could help. Since installation, it has worked like a charm...almost 2 weeks now. Today I inserted the faceplate and the unit did not power up, nothing. I was pissed to say the least. I obviously could not troubleshoot on the expressway home, but it finally dawned on me to press the front reset button. Low and behold the unit powered up right away. I have gone out in the "freeze" here in Chicago a few times since I got home, stuck the plate on and it has worked fine. Any ideas on what may have happened? I can not find anything anywhere on why the unit needed to be reset to work so decided to post here. I have 2 weeks left on my "warranty".
Any advice, insight or ideas would be really, really helpful.
