Ok i have a few questions about my amp, and general questions. I read the manual for the amp, but still kinda confused as to what it even is.

#1. The High Level Input Connection is a little square divided up into quarters, theres a plug that plugs into it with 2 wires coming out. What is this whole thing and what does it do?

#2. What should i set my Level, My boost, and My filter at on my amp? Or a general spot to start at?

Thanks guys!

Yep im using the RCA's already, I was just wondering what the thing is! So its pretty much just a different way of hooking the amp up, instead of using RCA's?

Ok, have the first question nailed down. Any idea on #2?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Ok - let me see can I make it a bit more simple for you then....

Are you using an RCA cable to feed signal from your head unit (the stereo) to the amplifier? If so, good. You'll not need the "high-level input" for any reason so you can disregard its existence. If you are NOT using RCA signal transfer then I'll elaborate more on high-level input later.

a) level: this is your input sensitivity adjustment. See the stickied tutorial on that subject to learn more

b) boost: this will be a feature that accentuates the bass output to a certain extent (levels of boost vary from unit to unit ) of the amplifier at either a given or selectable frequency

c) filter: this filters out a certain range of frequencies and doesn't allow them to be amplified and passed on to your speakers (ergo a low-pass filter on a bass amplifier filters out all the highs and only lets bass get through, to be amplified and output to your sub)

See the various stickied tutorials around the forum for more specific help on how exactly to set these different things. "Search" is your friend...there's heaps of useful knowledge to be gained from a bit of reading while visiting here.

Good luck! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
