"Don't Pump Gas Day" results.

3.49 here.... So Retarded 10 dollars does not even get me a quarter tank.
You're thinkin just like me, haha...now it costs me 55 bucks to fill up an entire tank for an '01 accord 4 cylinder (using 89 octane but thats only 1-2 bucks cheaper TOTAL than using 87 octane). It sucks having to spend over 200 bucks a week on gas. I feel bad for those who look at this and say 200 bucks aint nothin compared to what they spend.

if we really want to lower gas prices, we have to stop buying gas from exxon and the other real big compmanies.
i cant wait till bush gets out of the white house, i hope that the next president puts a cap on gas prices because there is NO reason that gas should cost this much, especially when exxon made what 60 billion dollars in profit last year?
Do you know what happens if we stop buying gas from Exxon? Generics (the pantry here locally) will just buy the gas from Exxon.

Here is a choice for you:

1) Gas available at $4.00 per gallon

2) Gas is $3 per gallon but there is no gas.

That is what happens when you create price ceilings.

Are you saying that it should be illegal for oil companies to make profits? It seems like a pretty profitable business enterprise since the profits are so high. As the profits increase, the incentives for alternative fuels increase, thus lowering the profits.

im not saying that they shouldnt be making profits. they have always made profits, i just dont see why they should drive prices up so high just to make more money.

putting a cap on oil prices wouldnt do much. gas is going to run out sooner or later. its better to have higher gas prices to ween us off of it and encourage us to find alternative fuels.

and yeah i forgot not to buy gas yesterday... i bought some... twice lol

3.08 monday, 3.19 tuesday, and idk what its at today...

Wish I could do that. I'm always driving. Work is 20 miles one way from my house and my gf's house is 20 miles another direction from my house. Work is is 30 miles from my gf's house and i currently don't have the funds to even get an apartment. I'd barely have any money save. I'd be lucky to find an apartment for 1k a month.

no it shouldn't be illegal for them to make profits, but they have a monopoly on the system right now. we have no choice but to buy their gas. raising the price for no real justified reason should be illegal.

Every business school in the world teaches you to raise the price as high as the market will bear. Furthermore, you do not have to drive anywhere, you choose to drive.
