Quiet subwoofer

Hopefully a really simple question for someone. I have a Halfords Edge subwoofer (please keep the abuse to a low roar). I believe I have the permanent, switched and earth wired correctly. I have jumped off the rear left speakers and then jumped that pair into the high level left and right input phonos on the sub.
please see picture.
Sub works but is really quite, no punch(even for a Halfords sub) turn the frequency or bass boost up a little and the sub distorts with a loud deep base.

I switched the polarity and no change.

Can anyone offer any advice (other than buy a decent sub)?

Thanks

Ian

get a decent sub 😛 jk :D  anyways, the speakers youre tapping off from to get signal may have a lpf from the deck thats undefeatable. What kind of car is it? (Looking forward to this as Halford is a uk brand) also, dude(or mate, or whatever) those power and ground wires. I have thicker wires going to my tweeters

Hi, and its a brand new Peugeot 3008.

Thanks
nice, i wish we had French cars available here in the states, but the opinion of the French here is pretty poor when it comes to their auto manufacturing despite them being pretty awesome IMO.

Anyways, the first thing you should do is get some power and ground to that thing that can carry more than about 3 amperes, the remote turn on is fine. Where are you tapping those wire off of to get power and ground?

and turn that gain down man!! Its literally pegged at the max!. Your situation would benefit from a decent line out converter to provide proper voltage to the input section of tour bass situation. Matter of fact, the LOC (line out converter) and actual power going to the amp will likely make worlds of difference
