old thread, but I went ahead and cut my $9 losses on that home depot 4ga wire and just got some from weldingsupply.com just cause of the flexibility factor. one thing I didn't notice before on weldingsupply.com (because of the horrible design of it) is the part where they said:

Made from 30-gauge soft-drawn copper strands for superior flexibility

They sell Stinger. Their service is excellent based on my experience but they are not cheap. Nowhere that sells Stinger is cheap.
