Ok I have a dual 1 ohm bl wiring it to a 1500d. with it being dual 1 i can only wire it to .5 correct? or can i wirie it to 1 ohm?

Is that amp .5 ohm stable? If not then 2 ohm is your only choice. Do you have a multimeter?

Wiring in parallel gives you .5 ohm

Wiring in series gives you 2 ohms

Yes, i believe so. also will i be fine running it at 130 amp stock alt + yellow top on .5?

you need to be sure before you go blowing amps up. you should be fine with that if you have the big 3

dbl check the amp to be sure. if it's only 1ohm stable you're sure to fck something up if you run at 1/2

It can run at 0.5 its just not under warranty anymore i believe.

4 ohm nominal = 518 watts @ 88% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 14.0v)

2 ohm nominal = 948 watts @ 85% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 13.6v)

1 ohm nominal = 1510 watts @ 78% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 12.4 volts

.5 ohm nominal = 1615 watts @ 72% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 11.8v)

.35 ohm nominal = 1748 watts @ 67% efficiency (voltage fell from 14.3v, to 11.4v)

test results from sundown.. since 948 watts won't cut it for the bl, i have to go with 0.5 ohm correct?

If you are going to be run the sundown at .5 I highly recommend getting at least one additional battery.

well if i wired it to 2 ohms would it still push the bl pretty good? 1000 watts isn't enough..
